Albion Online: Is The Cursed Staff Worth Using?

There are all kinds of interesting builds floating around for Albion Online and many of you who have taken advantage of our Albion Online Gold special offers lately have no doubt had a lot of fun trying some out that you have found online. There is one kind of build though that is hard to get our head around and that is one that utilizes the Cursed Staff!

The reason we say this is because we feel that early on in the game, The Cursed Staff is one of the worst weapons there is! Actually, we cannot believe that as many people are using this as they are. So the Cursed Staff allows you to pick two skills at tier 4. Life drain, 4 second channel, no CD and 28 mana to name some of them. It damages and the enemy and heals you which on paper sounds like the ultimate weapon and we can totally see why so many people would want to build this kind of character.

Albion Online: Is The Cursed Staff Worth Using?

But the problem with the Cursed Staff is that the damage it dishes out at tier 4, 5 and we would even say beyond this as well. Is so weak that the fact it does heal you at the same time really is kind of irrelevant. It takes an age to kill even the easiest of foe and it just feels like a huge chore to use.

It just feels like a really pathetic and sad weapon and the worst thing is, it sounds so damn cool! It is the kind of weapon that you think you will take a chance on as it may get better the higher up in the game you get… it really does not get much better, we can tell you that!

We would love to hear from you guys about your thoughts on making a build centered around the Cursed Staff or if there are any weapons you feel are just pointless in Albion Online.

Albion online is only a multiplayer game

Albion online lacks all of that. Adding some memorable story driven quest npc's, make buildings in the middle of nowhere in the barren Albion online landscape enter-able and have npc's or pie spawn in them, add anything that's remotely interesting to spice the hours of walking that exists in this game

So Albion claims to have no class system as well

The main difference between Albion Online und UO is now that in Albion Online you don´t have a system in which you can combine that much different aspecs of fighting to give yourself a tactical advantage against someone else with equal gear - and in no way you can "outskill" alone VS more than one player with equal gear.

You don't need to craft, as long as you understand that you will be limited to the gear that most players are crafting as your "daily driver" and you can play the entire game in a combat role while being useful to a guild/team.
