A tad bit of overkill on the albion gatherers
Now before i start i must say i am one of those who thinks gathering/crafting should be hard... so that real to the core gatherers and crafters stand out and get the value they deserve for their hard work.
On the other hand th last beta started with a little bit on the wrong foot in my humble opinion. Let me elaborate.
I dont want things to go back as they were in the last beta... Like you walk out 20 paces out of your city and find a huge chunk of T5 resources... harvest 2 stacks of it and go back. No.
On the other hand going 5 clusters for 3 hours from node to node miles apart from each other and collect only 100 T3 X resource is not the way to go if i am honest. As a gatherer i should have things to do... which is nodes to gather... And i am all for slow progression too... but running from a node to another for 3 hours just to find a node that only has 3-4 resource in it gets boring real quick. For me you can cut half or even more the fame gain on gathering if you want slow progression. I DO NOT mind as long as i have something to hit with my axe or skinning knife or etc...
I know some of the poroblem lies in the bottelneck effect we are having now... Everyone started at once... crowded areas... not enough nodes. But i can tell there will not be enough nodes when its settled. There just isnt... i can see that.
You can make T6+ nodes rarer than others... thats logical... but T3 nodes so few and with a huge 20 min (i am sure its more that that) spawn time? I literally waited on top of a T3 tree node i harvested fully... nearly 20 mins later it came back with 3 charges. I am assuming it loads up gradually from there... +1 in every 2 mins? lets say every minute... so that makes our full spawn time 26 mins for a T3 node? i cant imagine how it is in T5.
First time since i started this game my weapon skill past my gathering... and i only hunt to skin... maybe 1 or 2 dungeons once in a full moon... And that says something.
Also the new system discourages guild gathering events badly unless you are going for red/black zone runs. I mean why would you bunch up with your frinds to go gather when you only have 1/4 gatherer worth of materials per cluster? i would go alone...
So all in all i am all for slow progression... lower the fame gain on gathering if you need to like it was in the UO days... But please give us the nodes back. So that we can do what we are signed up for.
Best regards.
